Designed and built locally. You speak directly with the team that builds your crate. Within Switzerland, we visit in person and measure the object.
Built to measure
Each crate is designed from the exact dimensions of the work. Paintings, sculpture and furniture need different structures, so we start from the object.
Down to the detail
We build what the work needs. Location tracking, acid-free and low-outgassing materials, data loggers for shock, temperature and humidity, metal reinforcements or a crate made entirely of metal. All of it possible if needed.
Store and view
A crate is more than transport protection. On request, we offer solutions that allow tool-free viewing of the works.

About Cratex
We build crates in which art and design objects travel and are stored safely.
We have worked for museums in Switzerland and abroad and know how to handle art and design objects from our archival work. Our experience in logistics and transport goes back to 2019. We build in-house and bring in specialists in conservation and restoration when needed.
We involve you in the design and construction phase, so that the crate meets the needs of you and your object. We take responsibility for every crate we build.
